Now that Spring has sprung, we're looking forward to the S's of  SUMMER:  Shorts and Swimsuits and Sandals and Sundresses! We've got lots on the racks and we're looking for more!  Clean out those closets and come shop!

We're also looking for furniture items (beds, dressers, changing tables and the like) as well as swings, high chairs, and outdoor toys. 

Make a fresh start and come see us!  Hope you had a great Easter weekend.  Look forward to seeing you soon!

Bring in those swimsuits!  And summer shorts and tanks and sundresses --- WE'RE READY FOR THEM!  We're also looking for all those fun summer outdoor riding toys, JOGGING STROLLERS, and everything fun-in-the-sun.  SPRING CLEANING?  We need dressers, cribs, twin beds, and lots of furniture and decor items, so give us a call with any questions you may have on the larger items.  We have room at both locations right now!

We hardly saw Old Man Winter this year!  Spring showed up so early!  So we're already looking for Spring as well as Summer stuff The south store is wide-open, so if we're full on certain sizes north, please come visit the south location!  Remember that we moved it --- now we're next to Outback Steakhouse in the Lakehills shopping center. That's at South Lamar and Ben White, in the same center that Target occupies!  Give us a call!  804-2008.  We look forward to seeing you!

While this is not typically a personal forum, on behalf of all good business owners and managers, I would like to take this one opportunity to address the power of feedback from you, the Consumer.

No, I don't know ALL good business owners and managers  But I'm completely confident we're all on the same page about this!  We LOVE it when customers take the time to give a "like" or write about their good experiences online through "Yelp", "Google", or "Facebook".  Those are hard to come by --- not because we aren't striving every day to give our customers a great experience -- but because (we know!) you have alot more incentive to complain on those same sites when you're unhappy with a product or service.  You want the immediate gratification of "revenge".  But are you being fair?  Kind?  Have you given that business an opportunity to rectify the situation before you blast them publicly online? Maybe that inattentive waiter just found out he lost a grandparent.  That clerk you perceive as "rude" had a car accident on the way to work and is stressed.  No, not excuses for poor service, but extenuating circumstances nonetheless.

Give that manager or business owner an opportunity to explain a situation or right a wrong whenever they can.  If they don't step up to the plate, then your complaint may be justified.  But believe me --- most every business wants to stay in business!  We strive for customer satisfaction every day, while maintaining the policies and practices we need to be fair to all, provide a safe and desirable product, and to remain profitable as our employees DEPEND on the paychecks our businesses provide.

In a mass of big-box stores and chains, we need more independently-owned businesses!  Your rush-to-judge negative posting could put a hard-working local business under...when all that was required was a little patience and an opportunity for a business to work with you on a problem.  Or your understanding that a fair policy is in place for a reason.

So, during this busy, often stressful time of year, be kind.  Be tolerant.  Use your power fairly.  And by all means, take the time to praise someone when they do it well!  You have no idea how much it is appreciated, and how you may help a deserving business grow!

Have a great day and smile!  Make the world a better place.  It all comes back to you.
